Aloha,
I’m D. "Troy" Castro, a Creative Designer living in Los Angeles by way of the Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii. My approach to design and marketing has been developed through my years as an Art Director and Designer for leading agencies, lifestyle brands and my studies at Musicians Institute of Contemporary Music and Kauai Community College.

I have worked in collaboration to design apparel and product for Hot Wheels, Volcom, Vans and Loser Machine Company. Having also facilitated and negotiated on behalf of the Pabst Brewing Company licensing deals and collaborations with lifestyle brands such as Loser Machine Company and The Speed Merchant.

Years 0f traveling the world as a guitar and backline tech for global artists showed me that every detail matters. I have toured the world with The Raconteurs, Juanes, Living Colour, Greta Van Fleet, The Eagles of Death Metal, Carrie Underwood, Nas, Beyonce and countless others. Through working one on one with artists to develop solutions for live performance, instilling confidence and managing crew members to ensure the shows success, I have gained deep experience in lifestyle management and event activation. Leading the charge for the Pabst Brewing Company at our annual multi-state festival “Project Pabst” and our sponsorship at “Born Free” as well as countless quarterly activations.

I have nurtured and maintained relationships with leaders in the music, entertainment and action sports industries. I can be found riding motorcycles and surfing throughout Southern California as well as playing guitar with my own Alt/Rock Act "Drug for Joy”

My passion for typography, photography, color, fashion, trend, product packaging, youth culture, action sports, animal welfare, guitars and motorcycles runs deep and I always try to leverage these passions so they collide; creating timeless branding with a fresh yet familiar aesthetic that speaks to the outsider's voice.

My most recent work can be seen in ad campaigns, packaging and apparel designs for Hot Wheels, Molecule, Shaka Wear, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Style, Volcom, Primo beer.
